playing in the yard

Go play outside!
In the last two decades, childhood is mostly spent at home. The average child spends up to 30 minutes playing in the yard each day.
And more than seven hours every day in front of some kind of electronic screen.

This profound change affects the experience of childhood in general and the health of our children , in particular. Dr. Jonathan Gibson, a family physician in Naperville, agreed on the renewed encouragement and push to take the children out to play in the yard .

Physical activity while playing in the yard is a big advantage over staying in front of the TV screen or a technological device all day.
“The big thing is to get them out of the mold and out of the house, and just be a kid.
Go out and start moving and be spontaneous,” Gibson said.

“Free, unstructured play encourages creativity and allows children to come up with their own ideas for games
Also, “play is critical to developing problem-solving skills,” Gibson said.
And of course there is the element of fun involved that allows children to be children and discover their world on their own terms.
Children today are cut off from the natural world and therefore have a negative effect on their health,
Today’s children are out of shape and more stressed. Children should be encouraged to start exploring their environment,
It’s never too late for kids to start exploring, at any age.
These are valuable skills that the child gets by playing in the yard, he can run around and be active,
To be spontaneous, and to receive physical and mental stimulation. The dominance of technology in children’s daily lives has stimulated the call for environmental education and free play outside.
