General Information:

Maintenance of gaming facilities is required by law.
The Ministry of Tourism performs inspections in municipal authorities demanding the maintenance of a maintenance company for gaming facilities.

The maintenance of playground facilities is approved by the Israeli Standards Institute and is carried out by maintenance personnel who have passed a course,
and were trained to perform monthly inspections of gaming facilities.
Monthly maintenance for gaming facilities – maintenance of gaming facilities is performed once a month.
Annual maintenance for gaming facilities – maintenance of gaming facilities + approval of the Israeli Standards Institute performed once a year.

During the maintenance, the following actions are performed:

  1. Visual inspection of game facilities while detecting defects.
  2. Renovation of play facilities as well as treatment of existing defects.
  3. Re-inspection that indeed no additional defects were found.
  4. Filling out an inspection report and signing on the absence of defects and approval of safe play facilities for use.

Highlights for monthly maintenance for gaming facilities:

Structure – a perfect facility and the absence of parts of it.
Connecting means – the absence of connecting means that cause the parts to loosen.
Foundations – the protrusion of the foundation above the ground and freedom between the foundation and the ground.
Chains – connected links, normal, strong and without complete wear.
Ropes – intact and without tears, defects or cuts from vandalism.
Moving parts – (such as swings, carousels) – lack of lubricant, defect in movement, freedom or excessive grip.
Covering surfaces under the facilities – the lack of cover and the cleanliness of the cover.

Emphasis on periodic maintenance for gaming facilities:

Structure – bends, cracks, deformations, fractures, etc.
Means of connection – the absence of means of connection, the absence of screws, loosening of connections, protrusions and sharp edges.
Surface finish – rust or other corrosion, lack of protective coating, cracks or grooves.
Edges/corners – sharp points, bumps, pointed edges.
Moving parts – lack of lubricant, wear of bearings (lagers), freeness or excessive seizing,

Foundations – prominent, there is movement and freedom between the foundation and the ground.
Wooden parts – rot, insects, deep cracks.
Ropes – corruption and erosion.
